BDS DPDS. GDC No. 69801.
Gary qualified from Cardiff in 1993, and after a year working in his home town of Plymouth, he moved to Somerset, practicing in North Petherton until 2001. He joined the practice in December 2001, initially part-time, before moving to full-time in 2004.
He completed a Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies through Bristol University in 2003. Since then Gary has kept up to date with attendance of various courses, including the six day Ab Initio composite course in 2008 (composites are white filling materials). He has always had an interest in oral medicine, and the prevention of dental disease. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, with aesthetic restorations being an area of particular interest.
Outside of work, Gary has been involved in the organization of the Ashcott Beer Festival for the past 10 years, an annual village fundraising event. In 2015, he and a friend walked the 50 mile Parrett Trail in a day and raised over £1000 for the Leukaemia and Lymphoma Trust [now Bloodwise].
Gary is also an occasional birder, although having a family has reduced his opportunities somewhat. He follows the [mis]fortunes of Plymouth Argyle and plays five a side football… badly [his words]. He occasionally enjoys a ‘dram’ of Scotland’s finest export, possibly to forget the Argyle result. However, his main priority outside of work is of course his family, who he has had the privilege of watching grow up.
